long wordy post...

last year was quite a year to me, with loads of ups and downs and many lessons learnt the hard way. i'm thankful for the people who has always been by my side throughout the whole year and giving me the support when i needed them and letting me know that they'll always be here to catch me when i fall.

i know who are the people i can fully rely on that would be there to remind me when i'm trusting people blindly or over exerting myself going beyond what i could, and offering me hugs and tissues and kisses and pratically whatever i want when i'm bawling, refusing to get out of bed. my dearest Stella and Eckerene would know how horrendous i look when my face is all puffed up from crying too much.

And also my favourite bunch of girls who might not be there physically but i know they are always with me mentally and would provide me a listening ear as and when i need to, my bbgs <3

i'm sorry for always being absent in meetups but my heart is with you girls always.

my good ol pals. my men and my 2 cutiepies that'll always be there for me. even though we're all busy with our own lives i'm glad that we'll never drift no longer how muh time we spend apart. we can talk about anything and everything and practically to me, gender does not matter at all when i'm with them^^

in boring classes and rushed project deadlines, i'll have my always gan jiong poly dudes to back me up, reminding me of test, deadlines, projects, tips... etc to make sure i dont fail my modules. making me laugh when i fall asleep in class. helping me lie to the tutors so i dont get debarred for low attendance. HAHHA. and i'm glad we're back to normal.

not to forget my awesome RC8! red camp have always been the highlight of my poly life and i'm glad that my last red camp was a really great one with awesome fellow SLs and campers! throughout redcamp, i've really learnt alot. like how to communicate with a big bunch of people, confidence to speak infront of a big crowd, how to bring out that something extra in the campers and how to give that something extra to red camp. the sense of satisfaction that you've made a positive impact on people is beyond the description of words. i'm sad to say that redcamp 8 is the last redcamp that i'll have and i'll always remember the wonderful people i've come to know of throughout my red camp journey in RC6, RC,7 and RC8. SPARTANS AHWOOH!!!~~

my dearest ben ho, i know we've been through so many up and downs and thanks for tolerating my paranoia. i love you. i'm glad that i we're all better now, that we're working things out. i just hope that we'll be without lies cause no doubt i've placed my all into this. For us, i've carried the packages that i never would and tolerated the pain that i never could. i know its soon and i'm serious about this, that i want you to be the one i would be married to. so please dont ever disappoint me anymore. i'm glad to have found you. so glad ^^

& too, my ever bullying but comforting siblings and their other half who have always been there for me and constantly worried about my welfare. i'm happy that we're so close now, that we're able to talk about everything under the sun as i i know siblings that hardly talk to each other and for us , we cant stop talking. <3

but other than all the good stuffs, i've also been quite a disappointment to some people as well, i'm deeply guilty but still we all learn from our mistakes and for those who entered and left my life, i still do thank you for being there once upon a time when i needed someone.

then there are the people whose names shall not be mentioned thats been living in the dark or trying to stab me from the dark, please get your facts right but still i thank you for making me stronger and for revealing the fragile side of me which i always try to hide away. putting the problems infront of me that i've always been running away from. i do understand how bad it feels so i tried my best to make things better or you, so i'm living with a clear conscience.

i've learnt alot from the sunday afternoon practices with gefang and zhiyangs place every week, seriously, ALOT. though i'm not good now yet but how i was last year is so much worse. HAHAHHA and then remembering the friday nights that were dedicated to singing and the laughter filled class with the ultimate jiche laoshi. without you, it'll never be the same. i could remember us working hard for performances, from planning of harmony to costumes and makeup... till now, it still tears me up inside, its just so silly of you to go just like that. you're one of the strongest females that i've ever known and i really do miss you so much.

i'm blogging again
and its not really that good a thing.
this just means that i cant take bottling things up anymore.

maybe another chapter of my life ended and i just didn't realize that it once started.

lets back it all up and start from the top.
(this is definitely going to be wordy)

trusting and believing people again and again.
allowing people in and out of my heart.
i started growing stronger and healing faster as each door slams harder and harder on me.

after dragging on for 3 months hanging on by the exchange of nothing but ice cold words. things officially fell apart
i felt the pain, he did too, but luckily enough, i had someone watching over me.

a person that i would never consider letting in
but he showed me how much a person could do to show affection
no one ever did treated me this well.

i was touched very touched, so i tried,
i tried so hard to fall in love i gave most of the things that could
i try to hang out with him often treating him like how any normal couple would
but still i just couldn't say more than 'i care'.

even though in-between i met someone who had my attention but i willingly gave up cause i cant forgo all the things that hes done.

i tried making sacrifices and made sacrifices but it just wasn't enough for him
and after all that I've tried all i could say was 'i care'.

every single time that i wanted to really push myself to try harder he would try his best to give up. contradicting, but i would persuade him not to as i really dint want his efforts to go to waste however things just kept repeating itself.

when i wanted to put in effort fate just never fails to stop me
i know that hes spent alot on me, petrol, food, whatever and whatnot.
while i dont know why i'm still so broke.

well on his birthday, i wanted to get him alil something but i couldn't figure what to get him so i searched high and low for something but a rich kid like him, theres nothing he needs that i can think of. such a failure but oh wells. thus i tried baking a cake. which turned out blacker than the road.

well and so i tried to work more the month as to give him a belated present but yet again, he chose to give up, once again. i'm tired and drained and i know i cant keep trying to love i cant keep persuading him to stay when all i could offer wasn't what he wanted so i agreed.

at that point of time, i felt so relieved, i was able follow my feelings again.
not gonna be afraid anymore.

maybe my effort towards this wasnt seen at all and maybe you couldnt even feel it. but well i could answer well to myself, and i dont feel any guilt towards you. i thank you so much for all the things you've done for me, seriously no one has ever been this nice. this is why i'm so sorry i couldn't make it happen.

maybe i recover fast or its just that it wasnt all love in the first place
i still trust people easily no matter how many times i was betrayed by another.

well i think i'm ready to meet someone who i would be able to say more than 'i care'.
and this time, i think i did.

apparently alv, andy, and haoting went there too, but we didnt hang out much :( but it was really great to see them again after dinner, LOL

theres so much happening around me that its kinda starting to change my perspective of things.

i want to believe in people,

but all these thoughts are kinda falling apart. i had faith, i trusted and was let down yet and yet again. i wasnt left with much, but i'm willing to spare. how? how could someone bear to take it from someone who is trying to be nice and trying to show a little kindness to the society.

i wouldnt mind if you've informed me that you're cannot afford it now, but by plainly ignoring my messages its like telling me "yea, i cheated you, you're dumb".
the amount doesnt matter, i just needed to know if it was really for good cause.

seriously, its not that a big amount (which i would have lent more if i had more) but its kinda a big investment of trust on human race.

i think i'm kinda damn blessed to have friends like Shihui and Huishan, who would always attend lectures and fill in all the blanks blanks in the lecture notes AND SEND ME! they are the secret to me passing my modules. LOL.

we kept quarreling, its almost every single day that we meet, we quarrel, i'm really kinda tired. every small tiny thing could be the trigger of the big scary quarrel. the worst part is that whenever we quarrel, you would threaten to leave, i really dont like being threatened besides, i'm kinda very stubborn and prideful. i dont like to show others the weak side of me (unless i'm drunk or i simply cant take the rush of emotions) , so i tend to run away.

READING CALMS ME DOWN GREATLY.

so if one day, i'm pissed and angry and disappointed with everything, you'll most probably find me in the library, walking around like a lost child.

call me over sensitive, but somehow, you really dont smile much while you're taking photos with me, it almost seemed like you're unhappy or forced to smile. you always explained it as you dont like to smile with teeth and all that sort of shit, but why is it that you can smile so happily and naturally in the photos that you've taken with your friends?

Red camp is really special to me, its the first camp that i've participated in as a SL. i really want to thank those people who really thought me alot last year when i'm new to all these kinda stuff, its really hard to imagine next year without you awesome people :'( the thought of that picture really gets me emotional. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU PEOPLE! (;

last year, when i first stepped into spartans during SL camp, i was kinda worried and scared and closed up because i dont know anyone there, but because of the awesome people i had around me, i dont know how, but i really opened up alot and i felt so comfortable with them.

and this year, i really wanted to let the people that is new to this( like how i was last year) feel the awesome-ness i felt last year. hahah! (i hope you guys did)

we have really super awesome Spartans this year! i really had so much fun in this camp and i really enjoyed the company. even though last year was awesome but this year's SL camp was AWESOME-ER! the laughters and friendships and love that we've shared will always be remembered and i'm sure it would multiply as time goes by.

i'm so looking forward to RC7! ;D

seriously, i think you're way too too too good for me, i'm not that smart or talented nor am i pretty. i'm not that kind that you should really trust like that, cause your 'i trust you' is simply crushing me, its too heavy, i cant carry it yet. we're so young as you've said, so much we havent done, so much we havent tried. we wont have a problem being exclusive in love, but we would tend to make mistakes. maybe we met too early and devoted ourselves too early, we'll have more problems to overcome because we're at this age.

seriously, after reading my past year post. i realise the situation never did change much. though, the people involved may have changed and my personality and their personality may have changed but i'm still sort of that kinda empty.

do you guys understand that kind of feeling where you see yourself not in the photos and wished you were there and they too said that "we wished you were there" but in the matter of fact, they never asked you along? i've been getting alot of that recently.

there were times where you thought you were juggling well, friends, family and love. but often, its not. you could juggle it well. but well the fact is no one really gives a damn about you. thats why they are pretty happy that you've found a boyfriend to pull you off them.

or maybe its just me, i didnt organise anything in the first place, i didnt take the first step to reach out to them or DID I!? i'm pretty sure i did. maybe, all these just takes time to adapt.

sometimes, i can't see myself anymore.
i'm somewhat lost. i dont know what i really want in life
i dont see the point of doing things that i'm doing currently.
after studying in BIT for 2 weeks, i've came to a conclusion that it really aint the thing for me, i dont like business, neither do i like IT. i'm always thinking that i would be happier if i'm in chinese studies, chinese media, early childhood or community service & i know i would be cause thats my area of interest. i know i would be paying much more attention in class, cause its my passion. comparing to business. which is totally not my cup of tea. yes, i'm regretting. alot. but theres nth much i can do about it already. accept the fate that i've fallen into this. and therefore the only way i can see out of this "i dont like my future work" is to succeed in very singer (非常歌手) i'm left with no other choice, currently.

but sadly, the exams for verysinger isaround the corner, and my poor voice have yet to recover, my stage fright is still there. i still can't sing properly on stage. i cant sing infront of many ppl yet. yes, i need ppl to practice with. ughhh!

i feel terrible at times, but i feel guilty for feeling terrible. cmon, tell me what is this.
i'm suppose to be strong, to be firm, to be happy. not j. i'm suppose to smile and not look dead. betty chan, i know you know whats the best solution for everyone, so please continue doing what you're doing, stop getting affected, isolation! be happy!

a late post for 20th dec :D

met wanzhen, ruisong, waikun, desmond & boonsiang at jp in the afternoon around 2. desmond rushed off to work and we left jp. Ruisong scammed us la! hahas, he brought us all the way to an agency in tanjong pagar to interview for the NTUC extra job. but the agency is only open on weekdays-.- had quite a hard time deciding where to go (& boon siang is hungry) we eventually settled for maxwell food centre. boonsiang kept complaining cause we wanted to walk the short distance from international plaza to maxwell food centre instead of wasting money on bus, he was like screaming "why dont take bus?!" haha, funny guy! at maxwell food centre, the hungry man finally got some food and we finally got some peace from all the grumblings. chit-chated there awhile before walking aimlessly through chinatown. (obviously with a lot of grumblings by boonsiang again, who kept asking " where are we going?! dont keep walking lehs!" for about 7 times in a minute) walked through OG then traveled back to the west side of s'pore to suprise our beloved Peishan at around 5. by the we reached west coast plaza's sushi tei, peishan was gone already, good thing she didnt go far so she u-turned to meet us. dined at NewYork NewYork, super ex. fun and laughters at NYNY :D lokked around west coast plaza for jobs, luckily we found a few ((: sat at the kids corner to watch kung-fu panda and photo taking~! the day was fun, meet you guys soon! & dont forget the present x'change :D

last last week
stayed at my ah po's for the weekend. got to see the 2 babys! kids sure grow up fast, or maybe its been such a long time since i last saw them. yanghong's mum (my aunt) is pregnant for at least 8-9 month already, and i didnt even know that she was pregnant! it was mildly humiliating when they said they actually wanted to tell me only after the baby's birth. it's not like i dont wanna vist them, just that i was busy studying that few months ago. argggh.

yang hong dont recognise me:( i think he just dont like me. when my sister is around, he will scream " bu yao bu yao!" when he sees me close to him. when my sister is not around he will pull me wherever he goes and i cannot leave his sight, he will go "jie jie jie jie!". how nice, how disappointing -.-

can i say i wasn't disappointed? well "trust your friends", now i do & i will always trust them in the future cause i'm utterly wrong this time. dejection? yeah, i cannot deny that kind of heartache. it was so darn clear cut. friendship? relationship? they are the same, sometimes, you just can't let it go. i refused to admit that it had drifted cause i thought someday the currents might flow backwards. i even opened my heart to take it all back but you've made the decision. & i shall respect it. ex-classmates we'll always be. but hello my dear ex-classmate, i think you've abandoned something somewhere, & i thought it might be "friend" a word better than classmate? i guess i might be dumb or growing bimbo-tic to actually think "oh, she'll be back, i'm sure she'll. cause shes just part of us, theres that bond, she'll never actually say bye to us." a lesson to learn, not all things can be fixed, and you dont always make the decision. maybe the misunderstanding is big & dont wanna clear things up anymore. & there, misunderstanding... is it really even misunderstanding?

headed down to vivo for movies with boyfriend on sunday:D, his sister gave him 2 gold class tickets which cost $50 for 2, damn expensive. it suddenly rained when we were on our way to vivo to catch the movie at 7.00pm, arghhhs. stopped at clementi for shelter & dinner @ botak jones :D super nice! by the time we reached vivo it was 7.40 already, so we missed the 7.00pm show & caught the 9.30pm one instead.

shopped around vivo for awhile and it was then i realise that i need to earn alot cause theres so many thing i want. watched four chirstmas, a not bad show, certain scenes were boring but baby find them interesting? hahah. the gold class cinema is super darn nice, the chair is recline-able, can be adjusted to level of recline you want. theres a table for my nachos & lemon tea, best of all, theres a blanket! the seat is as comfy as a bed and all of the above makes you feel like sleeping. xD darling was super sweet that day (:

chalet this year was super fun! loads & loads cycling! :Da few of us rented bike overnight. we cycled at least half of pasir ris, big achievement! *claps claps* my legs ached badly after all the hours of cycling cause the pedals are extremly hard to pedal. i dare say we travelled quite a distance cause we went to and fro between cheers & chalet. the bbq food was super nice! *thanks to the people at the pit!* i guess everyone enjoyed themselves :D

ahhh! betty's first post after o's! i can't believe i'm still alive! i thought i was gonna jump
off the building. studying was the only problem before o's, and now, we have to think
about clothes, money, where to go, job... etc. So who said that we'll be free after o's?!

MONEY! the most disturbing thought.
no job = no money
allowance for a week can only last me a day or two, the pathatic 30 bucks.
but if i start working, i can't take my allowance. i'll have to live on my pay
which not very enough too. i have to buy clothes & go out with girlfriends,
therefore, it is really not enough. arghhhs!

CLOTHES! since i don't have enough money,
i need to get cheap clothes! another problem comes, where can you get cheap &
good clothes?! not those ah lian or auntie clothes.
& i need to slim down to be able ot fit into them. i'm like putting on alot of weight -.-

prelim science practical
chinese o'level results

science practical turned out to be rather easy i guess. i was over paranoid. hahas. well, hope o's would be as easy as this :D chinese o's results was out of my expectation. i've got an a1 for paper 1&2 and distinction for oral & listening. bwahahhaha! my mum is pleased, & i won my sister (who sometimes brags bout her o's results).

wanzhen says that this is a good start for me to start chiong-ing for my o's and prove people wrong. cause betty is smart :DDD "got potential!"

peishan & wanzhen came over to my house for studying & k-ing session. :D *ahems* i admit i didn't really study. 2 mock exams (bio & phy) and 1 o's oral (eng) & what m i doing? blogging... blogging when i should be studying. lols. i cant absorb already, used too much brain capacity yesterday. i'll just prepare for tml by praying :D

ytd was gracia's birthday clebration at aunts house(: we blew balloons, cut crip paper & decorated aunts house(: balloons kept bursting & to prevent scaring the babies, we clapped our hands & go "yea!!!!" to divert their attention, super tiring -.-

rushed off to cousin's change'o8 concert after celebration at botantic gardens managed to catch the last part of the concert. tiring day for me

stayed home the whole day! betty is gonna be a goodie goodie daughter for the day(: learnt how to wrap dumplings (zhong zi) from my mum and all. in the end, i gave up, cause all i was allowed to do was to fold the leaf -.- i wanted to put in the stuffs, but they keep telling me to fold the leaf. i agar agar know how to wrap already ok! then that super irritating cousin asked if she could put in the stuffs and she got to do it, although its her first time too-.- anyway, it should be because i didnt ask if i could (should have asked x(! ) nevermind today's a great day.

it has been so long since i last blogged , i don't know what i've been doing this days . wasting my time ? whatever ... today is Ben's birthday . happy birthday BENEDICT CHAN ! and of course my cousin's birthday which is on the 10th happy birthday MR.NG ! i don't know if i've been happy this few days . but hellium is real fun (: hahas and yang hong~ happy first birthday too!

ENCHANTED IS A VERY SAD MOVIE !
went to watch it with wanzhen , juanne , peishan & geraldine at bugis on monday . the guys jinlong , mika & xuxun came in half an hour later . lols they missed 3o minutes of the show . enchanted is very sad movie . kids just shouldn't watch . i am serious ! i almost cried when people around me are laughing . things just shouldn't go this way :( watch and you may understand . i left early at about 5:3o as i had some emergency stuffs . wonder what i missed , hahas . juanne said they missed me after i went XD so happy ~ they miss me (: whees !

Great ! i didn't go to school today . staying at home alone is piteous ,i would miss everything that happened in school ! :( . those sore eyes of mine are just so exasperating . how i wish i could just dig it out scratch it till it stops itching then gladly put em back . sounds sort of gross . ewww .

played pool the whole afternoon . i just couldn't aim right , i see loads & loads of shadows ( due to those sore eyes , irritating ) but still it was fun . laughter is the the best medicine , even for sore eyes , you know (: each of us had to pay quite a sum of money after that , the total cost was about 6o + . guess how long we played ? lols . but well since it was shared among 8 of us , it is still affordable x) .

didn't take any picture due to my eyes ( again ) .

went out with precious girls (wanzhen , juanne & peishan ) on marking day , so fun ! lols , i bought a pair of heels which is extremely high and verververy expensive for a poor girl like me . it cost me $35.9o . poof , there goes my money :( . at the very least it would make me almost 6-7 cm taller ! wheees !

exams results was something that i m not proud of :( failed 3 subjects . betty chan actually failed emaths ! omg ! after all those tireing nights , i still failed :( . well maybe i am just too stupid or something . humanities was expected failure but unexpectedly i got 20/25 for sb questions of ss ! but in the end i only got 26/50 , my essay questions sucked . my geog paper was even worse , i got 12/5o . i did study ok ! just the wrong chapters . heehees . a maths , i gave up hope on that subject already . i passed my bio ! i actually passed my bio ! :DDDDD i passed combined science too with 31 for both papers :)) first time in my entire life paasing my chem & physics with 3o++ marks ! YAY ! passed chinese at 5o/1oo . damn sad . used to do well for my mother tongue :(( english ! first time getting 6o ++ for eoy in sec 3 ! lalas . however i dont know what my marks would turn out to be for the whole year , eoy only takes up 45% afterall . too early to be sad or happy now :X
